Dear Mediacorp,
Being an avid tv fan of yours for the past 30 years (Not by choice). You recent coverage of the so called wedding of the year was greatly disappointing and truly a waste of time.
Singapore celebrities are really not considered celebrities. They are more like forced into the minds of Singaporeans by appearing everywhere.
Which is not really that difficult considering that we only have ONE tv station in small Singapore.
Please don't waste the TV tax and precious airtime by broadcasting your so called shameless celebrity weddings (especially for a couple who initially denied they were together and now not shy being together.) Don't make us look at the sponsored gowns, rings and fake cheers and laughter.
Might as well get Yellow Ribbon Project to sponsor the wedding?
I would rather you re run VR Man or Phua Chu Kang dubbed in chinese. Its probably more interesting and entertaining then the wedding. I would rather watch any show starring Benthedick Goh. That guy is such a consistent actor. He consistently shows the same emotions in any character he plays.
Thank you.
PS: Please do consider the chinese dubbing or VR Man or Phua Chu Kang. Never has TV been so interesting.
PPS : Just wondering about the sms thingy you set on TV. Do the couple actually read them? Where do the 60 cents per sms go to? Does it go to the couple?

In other countries, Celebrities tried very hard to make their wedding private by preventing reporters from covering the event. Some even go to the extend of booking an island for their wedding.
But in Singapore, it is broadcasted on TV. Live somemore.
I guess sponsorship money is more important. :)
have the same thought when I saw the sms message bar at the bottom of the screen. Mediacorp sure knows how to generate money. And to think there are people willing to waste time and money sending the sms in. -_-+
well. there's only sooo much they can fleeced off $ingaporean$
