Well on Oct 14 history was made. It will go down in music history as the one moment in rock. Thats right I am talking about the debut of Black Diamond Ninjas.
At 2 pm.. The setup was being done. We were preparing for the first, maybe last (hope not) and the biggest so far.... It was a stage and sound system set specially for the band.
From the above pic you can see the Adam the guitarist setting up his effects. Likewise for Guitarist Fabian with effects pedal in hand. I was just lazy so was drinking coke and taking poor quality pictures with my BB.
The drummer was somewhere giving the lead singer a blow...... No I dont know where they are actually. They are straight, or at least I think they are.
The girl in the pic Serene, is not a groupie. She just hangs with the band, sometimes she does filming, sometimes she is the band manager, sometimes she gives her take on the music we play. Mostly she is Adam's wife.
Oh the drummer appeared. He is now adjusting his drums, he has a cool velvet drum throne. He plays the Tama set. I was still sipping my coke in the corner and trying to cover the fact that I was nervous.
Lead singer was probably jerking off somewhere.
Once the setup was done, the lights was undergoing testing. The band logo appeared. Yes we were headlining our first concert. No opening band. No good bands would wanna open for us.
And we went ahead with the practise set.
Summer of 69.
We ran through the whole set. Then took a break at Great World City. Having coffee and cake at Coffee bean, no club, no wait I can't remember they all sound and look the same to me anyway.
Then at 8.15pm. The concert started. We open our first set to a rocking start.
No wait wait. Thats not us. I wish it was. I modelled myself after the bassist Rob actually.
But nope thats not us. Wrong video.

My bad...my bad wrong video again. We did not sound that bad.
I mean really, we sounded much better. To be known in Youtube as the worst band in the world is one accolade only the above band can achieve. Thankfully not us.

This was the last song we played actually. We dint start with this, we ended with it.
Well There was a reason for not being able to publish the opening song. We had two cameras in place. One had problems, the other had no sound. Murphy's Law visited us. Thankfully Serene managed to capture some.

Dont ask why its noteworthy. Cause its good and I think its good. heh
Thank you all for coming down, we managed to raise $4300 for the event. Cant say it was a perfect gig, but it was a good one.
Again I hope it wont be the last.
