You think your English is the good ah? And life after for Ris Low

Told myself never to blog about that Boomz queen that has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately.

Of course mostly for her bad English.

Yes the same Ris Low who many has asked her to be stripped of her title.
Of course there were also other who just wants her to strip. (Insert studio laughter)

Who in life has never cheated in exams before? Who here never steal pokemon cards before?

Ok the second question may not apply you to if you not Pokemon fan.

But honestly who in Singapore speaks good English anyway. Its either you put up fake ang mor slang or really you have bad bad diction that only your grandmother would know what you talking about.

There is also the local TV character that never dies, who Mediacorp has deemed him popular enough to represent us in Malaysia, Phillipines as well as The Amazing Race.

Don't play play. Its either you play, or you don't damn it.

I have listened to alot of Singapore made podcast, TV shows and radio. Many a times I cringe, sometimes I go to sleep with night mares after listening to it. These are the same people who criticize her bad Boomz English and make it an international news.

I bet when Miss Malaysia saw the video. She probably heaved a sigh of relief knowing she now stands better chance of winning.

I am guilty of bad English as well. I have a short tongue, I have problems enunciating words, especially when I speak too fast. But I do make an effort to communicate in good English and I learn from people.

I always remember and make an effort when I am corrected.

So people, listen to the way you speak before you critcize people. Because the joke maybe on you the next time.

As for Ris Low. Life is not over for her, like people always say any publicity good or bad is publicity. See in the case of that yellow underwear eyebrow plucker wannabe Steven Lim.

She can be the so called celebrity endorsements  for many products such as.....

She could also be the Tourism Ambassador for Singapore Tourism Board. Lets face it, if we can put that mole man with bad hair and really really bad English on Amazing Race.

Why not her? No more Uniquely Singapore. Its Boomz Singapore.

And honestly she is probably the best candidate to be the the next Grid Girl for Night Race 2010. Much much better then any one this year. SingTel can just use her and save the money and air time for something else better on Mediacorp.

Plus she like Radz anyway.

How about on the Social Media front? An agency can tap on her popularity and get her to be a star blogger. Potentially she could be the next Xiaxue right?

How about being the next star blogger for 24Seven?

Among many others like the Speak Good English Campaign, the Yellow Ribbon Project, as well as the HuaYu Cool Campaign.

Cause she makes English so bad that Chinese is cool. (alright that was a below the belt jab)

Cheer up Ris, many many opportunities await you. Life doesnt stop after being stripped.
