Flied Lice and beauty pageants

I was in the mood for lunch today, so decided to tarpau from the food court downstairs.......

I went to this store that sells Delicious Fried Rice. I decided that since they call it delicious, it must be delicious. I approached the aunty;

"炒饭 达包" (dunno why, I spoke in chinese to her. must be her looks ) anyhoooooo
"Flied lice ah. $3.50 one ah" (she replied in english, must be my looks)
"Aunty lice cannot eat one, not healthy" I replied in jest

She gave me the look. Its as though I just told her I caught her husband with another woman. Needless to say, never bite the hands that feed you. So I paid her and waited quietly for my Flied Lice.

Then while tallking to one of the my friends on the phone. He told me he just got interviewed by, to quote him "dunno from where tv station". He was asked to give an opinion on Beauty pageants. Is brains more important or beauty. His reply was: Both are important. to quote him again; "I must be poriticarry collect mah"

That set me thinking to myself. If I was the one interviewed. I would say : Is looks that important? For once I would like to see a brainy girl , yet ugly make it into Miss World . Is it possible? Can it be done?

I guess I will get censored . Guess the world is not ready for a ugly Miss World...
