And here it is... the box in full glory..
The classic black box...
Then after delicately and slowly feeling my way through the sticky opening..... tadaaaaaaaaaa.
Yes my precious in shining glory...
After slowly removing it, from the box, I took out the hidden treasure below, again as like previous packagings, it came with the many many wall adaptors, Manual, CD roms, data cable and a leather case.
Many things, many plastic
And out of the box the sets comes...side by side with the now ex phone Curve 8320
See the notable difference in class...
Side by side once again to see the difference in size
In terms of width? not much diff.
Then lo and behold.. a surprise awaits when you open the backcasing.. Which is my first complain. Have to push it out instead of pressing a button to release. So have to be careful otherwise too much strength will crack it.
The 2 gig micro SD card lies inside.
The new battery on the right.. and the Curve battery on the left.
Booting it up for the very first time.
The menu layout.
On first use, it does seems much faster, now this may not be an accurate comparison as I am comparing it to the Curve 8320 instead of the first bold. The SMS interface is fantastic, menu looks classy, and its faster to switch inbetween apps.
The 480x360 pixel display with transmissitive TFT LCD is clear, coupled with the 3.2mp camera with video function.
The touchpad, now replacing the ball, is surprisingly sensitive and intuitive, one can get easily used to it. Easy to navigate.
I woudn't say the battery life is better though, I still have to charge it everyday. And I am having problems downloading Appworld and Opera.
I dont know if it is due to the browser? or is it due to the fact that I dont have any BB plans. I am content with the Google apps for mail for now.
Amazing piece of thing this blackberry is. Check out more specs at http://worldwide.blackberry.com/blackberrybold9700/bold_specifications.jsp
This is it for now as I try to explore more of the 9700.
