According to this article . The Abercrombie & Fitch teaser in Singapore has been suspended by The Advertising Standards Authority of Singapore (ASAS) for breaching local guidelines on decency.
It seems people were complaining that it was distracting, indecent and inappropriate. Same reactions people have when they see me topless. One would think that Singaporeans now would be more open minded about such things. I mean has it been causing any accidents along Orchard road so far? Has rape cases increased drastically during this period? Has women been flocking to it like flies to lights?
But my guess is, the real complains come from the men. They are jealous of this ad and find it hard to believe that a normal human being would be able to achieve such abs thus banded together to lodge a complain against it. I really wouldnt see women complaining about it. Lets say they were to use the below pic instead.
Then the women would be the one complaining instead?

Our society's not ready for it... and unfortunately the society mindset is that it is okay to use the woman's body for commercial ads but not okay to use the man's body.
As a woman, I cannot accept that. Plus, the male body is no less gorgeous than a woman's body.
